Our minds and emotions are not born again
Emotions are feelings that we experience within ourselves that respond to events that affect us positively or negatively
Luke 4:18
“The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed;
What are emotions?
They are the organ of the soul that keeps us in contact with ourselves
Society is motivated by feelings: "If you feel good, do it"
Believers are motivated by values, principles, and convictions
Two important things:
1. Deliverance in our emotions is not a quick fix
2. There must be an act of responsibility in personal deliverance
Emotions
Unforgiveness - Bitterness - Rejection - Guilt and condemnation - Anger - Hate - jealousy - low self- esteem - pain - shyness - antisocial behavior - self -pity - abuse - painful experiences - emotional pain - trauma - ungodly soul ties - offenses - resentments - phobias - emotional wounds - feeling of inferiority - feeling of insecurity - perverse desires
• All these things are connected to your emotions when your emotions are not healthy
• A demonized person carries hardened emotions

Contamination - hatred - spirit of anger – self-pity - schizophrenia – Bipolar
[ bahy-poh-ler ] - spirit of deception - spirit of abuse - spirit of trauma - spirit of perversion - spirit of unforgiveness - spirit of murder
Exodus 1:13-14 - Israel's bitterness was from abuse
13 So the Egyptians made the children of Israel serve with rigor.
[ rig-er ] 14 And they made their lives bitter with hard bondage—in mortar, [ mawr-ter ] in brick, and in all manner of service in the field. All their service in which they made them serve was with rigor.
• God had said: I have a promised land for my people
• The people of Israel were an abused and bitter people
• Every purpose of God has a process
• God delivers His promise until we go through the process
• With every calling there is a process
• If your calling is great there is a great process
• Don't complain about your process - God's processes are painful.
• The people of Israel had come out of Egypt, but Egypt had not come out of them that is why God had to process them
• When you run away from your process you abort[ uh-bawrt ] your purpose - AGM
• It is very difficult to deal with emotional people because in an instant they leave or drop everything.
• You must deal with people of conviction
• You must have conviction, to say “this is my house”
• Do you believe God will entrust you with the character that you have?
What affects the most is the root of bitterness
Exodus 15:22-25; 27
22 So Moses brought Israel from the Red Sea; then they went out into the Wilderness of Shur. And they went three days in the wilderness and found no water. 23 Now when they came to Marah, they could not drink the waters of Marah, for they were bitter. Therefore, the name of it was called Marah. 24 And the people complained against Moses, saying, “What shall we drink?” 25 So he cried out to the LORD, and the LORD showed him a tree. When he cast it into the waters, the waters were made sweet. There He made a statute and an [b]ordinance for them, and there He tested them,
27 Then they came to Elim, where there were twelve wells of water and seventy palm trees; so, they camped there by the waters.
• Marah: Bitterness
• Complaint is the number one evidence of a bitter person.
• God leads Israel to Marah to show them their bitter heart they had
• Bitterness: Sour
• Bitterness is a poisonous fruit that hides because it is a root, but its fruit can be seen
• Bitterness is an anguish of the soul that causes sadness, hopelessness, hatred, resentment, etc.
• People do not realize when their bitter is like a bad odor
[ oh-der ]
Hebrews 12:15
looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled.
Corrupted – poisoned
Mark 4:24 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition
24 And He said to them, Be careful what you are hearing. The measure [a][of thought and study] you give [to [b]the truth you hear] will be the measure [c][of virtue and knowledge] that comes back to you—and more [besides] will be given to you who hear.
• If you listen to someone who is contaminated, that contamination will increase over you
• Do not allow yourself to be contaminated with the bitterness virus
• Bitterness is a choice

Job 10:1: Job's bitterness was painful experiences

• The most painful abuse that can be done to someone is betrayal.
• When you don’t heal from betrayals, you have a hard time believing in people
• Complaint is a sin
What are the causes of emotions: rejection, mourning, betrayals
Genesis 4:3-8
3 And in the process of time it came to pass that Cain brought an offering of the fruit of the ground to the LORD. 4 Abel also brought of the firstborn of his flock and of their fat. And the LORD respected Abel and his offering, 5 but He did not respect Cain and his offering. And Cain was very angry, and his countenance fell. 6 So the LORD said to Cain, “Why are you angry? And why has your countenance fallen? 7 If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin lies at the door. And its desire is for you, but you should rule over it.” 8 Now Cain [c]talked with Abel his brother; and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother and killed him.
• What Abel brought had blood
• They murder the character of a person
