There are three levels of paternity:
1. Heavenly Father - no one can take this place, and no one can be called Heavenly Father only Him.
2. Natural father
3. Spiritual father
The greatest success of a father is to transfer a legacy to our children
God is a generational God
Exodus 3:6 Moreover He said, “I am the God of your father—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.” And Moses hid his face, for he was afraid to look upon God.
Inheritance originates from God
The mother does not give inheritance, it comes from the father. The mother nurtures and cultivates
What is a legacy? It is what a man leaves behind. something transmitted by or received from an ancestor
1. The spiritual inheritance is an accumulation [ uh-kyoo-myuh-ley-shuhn ] of knowledge, faith, wealth, etc.
If you do not have a father; who is going to leave you an inheritance?
The spiritual inheritance is received for free, but someone had to pay a price
Natural inheritance:
When something tangible [ tan-juh-buhl ] is given to you
Proverbs 13:22 A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children, But the wealth of the sinner is stored up for the righteous.
Spiritual inheritance:
It is when God reveals a truth. Then you have permission to own it.
If a truth is not conviction, it is not a revelation
Deuteronomy 29:29 “The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.
The purpose of a legacy is so that our children do not start from scratch. [ skrach) From the very beginning or starting point.
2. To make it double
2 Kings 2:9 And so it was, when they had crossed over, that Elijah said to Elisha, “Ask! What may I do for you, before I am taken away from you?” Elisha said, “Please let a double portion of your spirit be upon me.”
Inheritance consists of three things:
1. Faith
• God gives you faith to live in a hostile environment
Habakkuk 2:4 “Behold the proud, His soul is not upright in him; But the just shall live by his faith.
Generational faith
Hebrews 13:7 Remember those who rule over you, who have spoken the word of God to you, whose faith follow, considering the outcome of their conduct.
2 timothy 1:5 when I call to remembrance the genuine [ jen-yoo-in ] faith that is in you, which dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice, and I am persuaded is in you also.
• Faith must be activated
2. The anointing
• Every believer is the result of the anointing to which he sits
Psalm 133:2It is like the precious oil upon the head, Running down on the beard, [ beerd ] The beard of Aaron, Running down on the edge of his garments.
• If you are not connected with the head, it will not reach down towards you
• The anointing is to empower you to do the impossible
3. The blessing
Means that you are authorize [ aw-thuh-rahyz ] to prosper
Genesis 12:2I will make you a great nation; I will bless you And make your name great; And you shall be a blessing.
Romans 8:17and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.
• Heirs made equal to. . .
• We have the same rights and the same privileges
• Children have inheritance
Numbers 6:25-26
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
