The origin of sex is God

Sex was made for pleasure, but only in marriage

Genesis 1:31 Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good. So, the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

 God has given us:

1. Spiritual desire

2. Sexual desire

 

• The devil has perverted [ per-vur-tid ] sex and it has become a problem in society and even in the church
• Spirits are transferred in the sexual act

 

Sexual immorality

Fornication - adultery - Sexual fantasies - Homosexuality - Bestiality - Masturbation - molestation,
[ moh-le-stey-shuhn) rape and abuse - Incest
[ in-sest ] - Abortions - Promiscuity  (prom-i-skyoo-i-tee) - Pornography - Sexual activity with demons - Sexual activity with women or men - sadism  sey-diz-uhm  (Conduct or sexual behavior that consists of in inflicting physical or mental suffering on another person to experience sexual satisfaction) - masochism  (mas-uh-kiz-uhm, maz- ] (sexual behavior in which sexual  satisfaction is obtained through one's own physical or mental pain, humiliation, domination and submission.)

• All this is related to sexual soul ties
• All this has a cause

• The cause must be delt with to be set free
• Attacks on a mother's womb
• When there is sexual abuse there is guilt and pain

1 Corinthians 6:18 Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body.

 

• When a person has a relationship, a demonic bond is established
• There is a fragmentation of the soul
• God designed marriage to be a physical, emotional, and spiritual union.

1 Corinthians 5:1-5; 9-13

It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and such sexual   immorality as is not even named among the Gentiles—that a man has his father’s wife! ² And you are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, [ mawrn) that he who has done this deed might be taken away from among you. ³ For I indeed, as absent in body but present in spirit, have already judged (as though I were present) him who has so done this deed. ⁴ In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when you are gathered together, along with my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ, ⁵ deliver such a one to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.

1. More than 40 million Americans visit pornographic sites regularly. The visit lasts 6 minutes and 29 seconds.
2. There are about 42 million pornography websites that add up to about 370 million porn sites
3. The annual revenue of the porn industry is higher than that of the NFL, NBA, MLB combined. It is also more than the combined revenues of ABC, NBC, CBS
4. 47% of families in the United States claim that pornography is a problem in their home. The use of pornography increases the rate of marital infidelity by more than 300%
5. 59% of pastors state, married men seek help because of the use of pornography
6. 33% of women age 25 or younger seek porn at least once a month.

 

2. Adultery

Adultery is when the imagination and the heart meet and adultery is committed

Matthew 5:27-28

²⁷ “You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ ²⁸ But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

 

• People who commit adultery begin to lose identity

 

1. The first consequence of adultery is spiritual death

Leviticus 20:10 ‘The man who commits adultery with another man’s wife, he who commits adultery with his neighbor’s wife, the adulterer and the adulteress, shall surely be put to death.

 

2. The soul is corrupted

Proverbs 6:32 Whoever commits adultery with a woman lacks understanding; He who does so destroys his own soul.

 

• Such person loses his/her personality, feels incomplete, unhappy, and hurt

3. Causes pain

 

Proverbs 6:33 Wounds and dishonor he will get, and his reproach will not be wiped away

 

Proverbs 6:26 For by means of a harlot A man is reduced to a crust of bread; And an adulteress will prey upon his precious life.

 

4. God will judge adulterers

Hebrews 13:4 Marriage is honorable [ on-er-uh-buhl ]  among all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge.

 

Hebrews 13:4 NLT

Give honor to marriage and remain faithful to one another in marriage. God will surely judge people who are immoral and those who commit adultery.

 

2 Samuel 11:1-17 David after God's own heart

The spring of the year was the time when kings went out to battle. At that time David sent Joab and his servants and all Israel. They destroyed the sons of Ammon and gathered the army around Rabbah. But David stayed at Jerusalem. ² When evening came David got up from his bed and walked around on the roof of the king’s house. From the roof he saw a woman washing herself. The woman was very beautiful. ³ So David sent someone to ask about the woman. And one said, “Is this not Eliam’s daughter Bathsheba, the wife of Uriah [ yoo-rahy-uh ] the Hittite?” ⁴ David sent men and took her. When she came to him, he lay with her. After she had made herself clean again, she returned to her house. ⁵ She was going to have a baby, so she sent someone to tell David, “I am going to have a baby.” ⁶ Then David sent men to Joab, saying, “Send me Uriah the Hittite.” So, Joab sent Uriah to David. ⁷ When Uriah came to him, David asked how Joab and the people were doing, and how the war was going. ⁸ Then David said to Uriah, “Go down to your house, and wash your feet.” And Uriah left the king’s house, and a gift from the king was sent to him. ⁹ But Uriah slept at the door of the king’s house with all the servants of his lord. He did not go down to his house. ¹⁰ When they told David that Uriah did not go down to his house, David said to Uriah, “Have you not returned from traveling a long way? Why did you not go down to your house?” ¹¹ Uriah said to David, “The special box of the Lord, and Israel and Judah, are staying in tents. My lord Joab and the servants of my lord are staying in the open field. Should I go to my house to eat and drink and lie with my wife? By your life and the life of your soul, I will not do this thing.” ¹² Then David said to Uriah, “Stay here today also. Tomorrow I will let you go.” So, Uriah stayed in Jerusalem that day and the next. ¹³ David called him, and he ate and drank with him, and David made him drunk. In the evening Uriah went out to lie on his bed with his lord’s servants. He did not go down to his house. ¹⁴ In the morning, David wrote a letter to Joab, and sent it by Uriah. ¹⁵ He had written in the letter, “Put Uriah in the front of the hardest battle and come away from him, so that he may be killed.” ¹⁶ So while Joab was watching the city, he sent Uriah to the place where he knew there were soldiers with strength of heart. ¹⁷ The men of the city went out and fought against Joab. Some of David’s servants were killed. And Uriah the Hittite died also.

• It all started with a walk and with a curious look

2 Samuel 12:1-13

Then the Lord sent Nathan to David. And he came to him and said to him: “There were two men in one city, one rich and the other poor. ² The rich man had exceedingly many flocks and herds. ³ But the poor man had nothing, except one little ewe lamb which he had bought and nourished; and it grew up together with him and with his children. It ate of his own food and drank from his own cup and lay in his bosom; and it was like a daughter to him. ⁴ And a traveler came to the rich man, who refused to take from his own flock and from his own herd to prepare one for the wayfaring man who had come to him; but he took the poor man’s lamb and prepared it for the man who had come to him.” ⁵ So David’s anger was greatly aroused against the man, and he said to Nathan, “As the Lord lives, the man who has done this shall surely die! ⁶ And he shall restore fourfold for the lamb, because he did this thing and because he had no pity.” ⁷ Then Nathan said to David, “You are the man! Thus says the Lord God of Israel: ‘I anointed you king over Israel, and I delivered you from the hand of Saul. ⁸ I gave you your master’s house and your master’s wives into your keeping and gave you the house of Israel and Judah. And if that had been too little, I also would have given you much more! ⁹ Why have you despised the commandment of the Lord, to do evil in His sight? You have killed Uriah the Hittite with the sword; you have taken his wife to be your wife and have killed him with the sword of the people of Ammon. [ am-uhn ]  ¹⁰ Now therefore, the sword shall never depart from your house, because you have despised Me, and have taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be your wife.’ ¹¹ Thus says the Lord: ‘Behold, I will raise up adversity against you from your own house; and I will take your wives before your eyes and give them to your neighbor, and he shall lie with your wives in the sight of this sun. ¹² For you did it secretly, but I will do this thing before all Israel, before the sun.’ ¹³ So David said to Nathan, “I have sinned against the Lord.” And Nathan said to David, “The Lord also has put away your sin; you shall not die.
